Since gaining an M.A. in Music from Oxford University I followed a career primarily in live music, ultimately establishing the twice national award-winning function band in the UK, The Funtime Frankies, plus one of the most successful corporate bands in Malaysia, Mad Sally.

LIVE MUSIC
Running The Funtime Frankies involves a wide array of skills including auditioning and training musicians, show and rehearsal planning, music arrangement, audio and video recording and editing, designing business admin systems and marketing. It also involves dealing with approximately 150 clients per year, and up to 5 different bands a night during peak season.

MUSIC PRODUCTION & COMPOSITION
I have been a music mentor for a Malaysian TV songwriter competition, produced backing tracks for Malaysian K-Pop show, written, produced & released a single on Sony Records, and produced for various other artists over the years.

TUTOR & MUSIC DIRECTOR
Over the years I have also tutored students (whilst living in the UK, Malaysia & Austria) in music theory, vocal coaching, keyboards, English, mathematics & IT. I helped to develop online music theory lessons. I have organised youth camps, trained choristers and directed Oxford University choirs.
